Do you love writing charts as much as we do? Students love to help create them & they are a wonderful resource for students as they are working on their own writing! The writing charts encourage collaboration as we work to create them. When students are in small groups, they work together and use the writing charts for their own writing. I use
lined chart paper and
Mr. Sketch markers to create our charts.
People We Love
Valentine's Day is the perfect time to talk about the people we love! Students always have ideas to share. One of the writing charts we make is "People I Love". Students list family members that they love and this creates ideas for who they will make Valentines for.
After making our class list, students create their own list.
Then, they use their list to select one person to write a sentence about and they add an illustration. Students cut out their heart, we mount them to construction paper, and display them in our classroom!
