Valentine's Day Math

Valentine's Day makes math a little more fun in Kindergarten! There are so many fun heart activities that you can do with your students.

SIMPLE IDEAS:
*Grab some candy conversation hearts at the dollar store and use them in a center or small group for patterning activities!

*Use Valentine's Day M & M's (red, white and pink) for patterning or even counting centers!

You can download this Valentine's Day FREEBIE in my TPT store for patterning activities!

It comes with 24 total hearts (8 purple, 8 red, and 8 pink), as well as two recording sheets.

Print, cut and laminate the hearts. Use them in whole group and small group instruction to work on patterning with your students.

The recording sheets can be used for an assessment, or for extra individual practice with your students. I even like to print the recording sheets on colored card stock and then laminate them. This allows the students to use dry erase markers to create patterns in a center. Another fun idea is to put candy hearts in a center and have students use the laminated recording sheets and the hearts to make patterns.

I hope this FREE patterning activity brings some "sweet" Valentine's Day fun to your classroom!
